The Colorado Multi-Ethnic Cultural Consortium (CMECC) is a statewide coalition of health advocacy organizations working to eliminate racial and ethnic health disparities in Colorado.

CMECC programs:

  • Advocate for equity and culturally congruent health, mental health and behavioral health services to decrease health disparities.
  • Collaborate with policy makers, community based organizations, state health agencies and non-profit advocacy groups throughout Colorado, to advance change.
  • Educate health care providers and policy makers about the cultural components of promoting wellness.

CMECC is currently generously funded by The Colorado Trust, through the Advocacy for Increased Health Insurance Coverage Grant.

"Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane."

- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
